Who Should Attend?
This 12-hour course in basic first aid is suitable for any worker providing care for babies and children under 12 years old in the absence of their parents. The syllabus is designed in accordance with the revised UK resuscitation guidelines (2005), to meet OFSTED requirements for First Aid training, as well as HSE requirements for Appointed Persons in the workplace. All participants receive a course book to support learning.
Course Content
This is a very stimulating, interactive course covering a range of first aid subjects including: Planning for emergencies Care of the Unconscious Casualty CPR Wounds/Bleeding/Shock Choking Burns and Scalds Fractures/Sprains/Strains Insect bites/stings Management of Minor and Major Illnesses Effects of Heat and Cold Contents of a First Aid Kit Record-Keeping/Legislation
