Who Should Attend?
This 6-hour course is suitable for persons appointed to manage first aid emergencies in the smaller, low-risk workplace, for employees who travel off-site as part of their job, or for those supporting the qualified first aider in the workplace.
Course Content
This interactive course is devised in accordance with the revised UK resuscitation council guidelines (2005) and covers a variety of first aid subjects including:
- Planning for an emergency
- Incident management
- Management of the unconscious casualty
- CPR
- Wounds/Bleeding/Shock
- Heart Attack
- Fractures/Sprains/Strains
- Burns and Scalds
- Poisoning
- Contents of a First Aid Kit
- Record Keeping/Legislation
