Course Summary
First Aid at Work 2-day Re-qualification is a 12-hour re-qualification course approved by the Health and Safety Executive, teaching participants about management of a medical emergency in the workplace.All participants receive a course book to support learning.
Price includes course book refreshments and certification.
Who Should Attend?
Anyone re-qualifying as a first aider at work (as defined in HSE guidelines). All delegates attending this course must hold a First Aid At Work certificate that has not expired by more that 28 days.Course Content
The syllabus is very interactive and comprehensive, covering subjects including:
- CPR
- Unconsciousness
- Bleeding/Wounds/Shock
- Fractures/Sprains/Strains
- Burns and Scalds
- Eye injury
- Gas or fumes inhalation
- Poisoning
- Minor and Major illnesses
- Safe transportation of a casualty
- Contents of a first aid kit
- Record-keeping/legislation
Assessment
Participants must undertake a formal assessment on completion of the course.The HSE now recommend Annual Refresher training for all first aiders.
In addition to our regular ‘open' first aid training courses, we can also arrange to run a course specifically for you at a venue of your choice. This may be your own premises or another suitable location that is convenient for you.
