Safer Manual Handling (Objects)
Health & Safety courses are currently only available in house. At present the minimum attendance is 6 people, the maximum is 12.
Who Should Attend?
This 3-hour course is suitable for all employees involved in moving and handling objects on a regular basis.Course Content
The course includes both theory and practical sessions to educate participants in safer moving and handling techniques and problem-solving approaches to moving objects.
- Current legislation and professional guidelines
- Mechanics and function of the spine
- Risk factors of back pain
- Hazard Identification and risk assessment
- Problem-Solving
The course aims to meet the needs of your particular workplace, and will be adapted to ensure your requirements are included.
On completion of the course participants receive a certificate valid for one year. All participants receive a course book to support learning.
